Product Description
Envirograf ES/VFR/P Primer is a clear water based primer for use under ENVIROGRAF ES/VFR CLEAR FIRE PROTECTION COATING and ENVIROGRAF ES/VFR WHITE FIRE PROTECTION COATING Intumescent coatings. It can be applied over existing paint systems or wood stains to improve adhesion of the fire protection coating to the substrate.
Application & Coverage
Envirograf ES/VFR/P Primer can be applied by brush or roller. Coverage is 10-12m² per litre.
Note: It is important to ensure the moisture content of the wood substrate is below 17% before application.

Product Performance
Always do a test area first.
Stir product thoroughly before and during application to ensure a consistent coating and finish
Apply 1 coat to all surfaces to be treated with the Envirograf Fire Protection System. Coverage is approximately 10 meters square per litre depending on the substrate being coated.
This product can be used on bare wood that has been treated with either a water based or spirit based wood preservative.
Envirograf ES VFR Clear Primer should not be applied if the air or surface temperature is less than 5℃
Note: This product does not provide protection on its own and must be used in conjunction with the Envirograf ES/VFR/I Clear Interior Fire Retardant and Envirograf ES/VFR/T Translucent Fire Retardant Top Coat to provide the full Class 0 & Class 1 Rating for spread of flame.
This product should not be de-nibbed (lightly sanded) prior to applying the fire protection coating.
Always follow the instructions on the tin.
