Product Description
Steelmaster 120SB is a single pack, high solids, solvent based acrylic thin film intumescent coating independently approved for 2 hours fire protection of structural steel exposed to cellulosic fire.
Steelmaster 120SB can be used as a midcoat or finish coat in atmospheric environments and should be applied on approved primers on carbon steel substrates, such as Pilot QD or Penguard Express.
Steelmaster 120SB Intumescent Paint meets the requirements of BS476 part 20/21 it is specially designed as passive fire protection for steel constructions, suitable for structural steel to be used internally or externally up to corrosivity category C4 (ISO 12944-2) with a compatible topcoat.
Steelmaster 120SB Intumescent Paint can be applied up to 720 microns by airless spray. Brush or roller application is only recommended for stripe coating and small areas, multicoats may be required to achieve the recommended DFT.
Steelmaster 120SB Intumescent Paint may be overcoated with any approved topcoat such as Pioner Topcoat or Hardtop CA to provide a wide range of RAL or BS Colours.
