Product Description
Steelmaster 600WF is a single pack, high solids, waterbourne thin film intumescent coating independently approved for 90 minutes fire protection of structural steel exposed to cellulosic fire. Steelmaster 600WF is Quality Guaranteed by Exova Warrington Fire Research with high coverage rates and significantly lower product useage than other intumescents protecting I-sections, beams and columns up to 90 minutes fire protection. Steelmaster 600WF Intumescent Paint can be used as a midcoat or finish coat in atmospheric environments, for carbon steel substrates it should be applied on approved primers , such as Pilot QD or Penguard Express.
Steelmaster 600WF Intumescent Paint contributes to the Green Buildings Standard Credits, it is CE marked product with European Technical Assessment ETA-19/0005. It meets the requirements of BS476 part 20/21, ASTM E84 and EN 13381-8. Reaction to Fire Class B-s1, d0 (EN 13501-1)
Steelmaster 600WF Intumescent Paint has low VOCs and is specially designed as passive fire protection for steel constructions. It is suitable for structural steel to be used internally or externally up to corrosivity category C3 (ISO 12944-2). Steelmaster 600WF Intumescent Paint can be applied up to 710 microns by airless spray. Brush or roller application is only recommended for stripe coating and small areas, multicoats may be required to achieve the recommended DFT. Steelmaster 600WF Intumescent Paint may be overcoated with any approved topcoat such as Pioner Topcoat or Hardtop CA both available in a wide range of RAL or BS Colours.
A free estimation service is available to calculate loading requirements to achieve the required fire protection. E mail the drawings with steel section dimensions to Passive Fire Products for confirmation of the theoretical coverage rates and Intumescent paint requirements. Please remember to include appropriate loss factors, such as overspray and spillage when calculating your actual requirements.
