Pilot QD is designed for new construction and maintenance of steel. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray and is certified for use as a primer in Intumescent Steelmaster fire protection systems.
Product Description
Pilot QD Primer is a fast air drying zinc phosphate anticorrosion primer with a matt finish, providing fast handling and overcoating times to increase productivity. It can be applied direct to steel, aluminium and wood by Airless spray, Conventional spray, brush or roller.
Pilot QD Primer is recommended for steel structures and containers, modular buildings, construction equipment and building products. Pilot QD Zinc Phosphate Primer provides excellent adhesion to steel and may be used when abrasive blast cleaning is not possible. Jotun Pilot QD Zinc Phosphate Primer can be applied up to 125 microns in a single coat by airless spray, two coats may be required to achieve the recommended DFT by brush or roller. It is resistant to continuous temperatures of up to 120°C
